This teacup features a beautiful gradation of red and pale blue, made by Izumi Ryoho, a craftsman with over half a century of experience.

The red color of the lustrous glaze comes from iron.

The white and blue blend together in the kiln, creating an exquisite gradation.

Due to temperature changes during firing and minute differences in the components in the glaze, each piece shows a variety of different expressions, with individual beauty making them one-of-a-kind pieces.

The rounded shape fits comfortably in the hand, and the size makes it easy to use for tea, coffee, or as a rocks cup.
