This small cup is crafted by Kiko Imahashi, the 4th-generation master of the renowned Kiko kiln, known for its Kyo-ware and Kiyomizu-ware pottery.

It carries forward Kyoto’s pottery tradition while offering a design that complements modern life.

The body of the cup is thin and lightweight, giving it a delicate and technical feel when held.

The Shippō (Seven Treasures) pattern represents the seven treasures from Buddhist scriptures: gold, silver, lapis lazuli, glass, shell, coral, and agate.

The circular design, which perpetually links, symbolizes harmony, unity, and good fortune, making it an auspicious motif.

The Shippō pattern is carefully hand-applied with a three-dimensional effect on each piece, making it unique.
