Founded in 1917, Syunzan "俊山" Kiln is renowned for preserving the tradition of Kiyomizu ware while incorporating contemporary sensibilities into its captivating creations.

The "Asanoha" (hemp leaf) pattern, considered to bring good fortune, is skillfully depicted using the icchin mori technique.

Icchin mori involves squeezing out white slip to create raised, three-dimensional patterns, a highly advanced technique that requires exceptional dexterity.
